posts before you lose interest in trying to push yourself from newbie to whatever is next? I don't have the patience.

I vow to not post to off topic topics (unless it is really cool) on the FPHO

We Swedes were absolutely born nude, but I think a lot of Americans were born with the underpants on.

How come I never saw this thread before!!
Janalov, that's cool you're from Sweden.

What's your favorite food that is native (or popular) to Sweden?

Chadtheguru - Posted - 09/06/2008:  08:46:13

Meatballs! Swedish meatballs, right? ;)

Chad

Chadtheguru - Posted - 09/06/2008:  08:55:36

Gourmet food must be popular there because Sesame Street thought the best representative of Sweden was the Swedish Chef. Bork! Bork!

Swedish Meatballs. Humph. :P

Are they really popular in Sweden, I wonder?

Chadtheguru - Posted - 09/06/2008:  22:35:28

Probably about as popular as french fries are in france. I don't think they even eat them. They are more a Belgian/German thing I think.

janolov - Posted - 09/07/2008:  00:09:16

We eat Swedish meatballs often. However I don't know what "Swedish meatballs" are U.S. Here in Sweden they are made of ground beef with some cream, dried bread and egg added and they are formed to balls about 1 " in diameter. Served with mashed potatoes, cowberry jam and brown sauce.

Yeah, something like that. I'm not sure we put cream in ti though. I also don't think we have cowberry jam with ours. Maybe I should try it next time, but maybe use mayhaw or blackberry jelly. :)

That does sound similar to the ones here, except I don't have a clue what cowberry is. What berry is that similar to? Maybe it's another name for a berry we have here too :)
