Thin ice?...No,not at all.
It's just that in my native state of Ohio,everyone looked
for the day that the park officials would announce that
the Snyder park logoon had frozen enough for skating.Debby,
that lagoon was about 2 acres.100 feet wide and 600 feet
long.5 to 8 hundred people would go most every night to
skate.The officials would build large bon fires around
and serve free hot chocolate.
That's where I met my
wife.She was one of the better skaters and very pretty
with a humorous attitude.I asked her if she would skate
with me and she had to go ask her older brother if it was
alrightStrange,,I remember like it was yesterday.
Her brother looked me over and said: You may hold her
hand.Keep your other hand in your pocket.
