Pickin my Morrell resonator guitar a lot lately, And working on carols-I have "A Smokey Mtn Christmas" for guitar book by Steve Kaufman and am working out of that as well as Wayne Erbsen's flatpicking book. Dads eye has passed all the hurdles and has healed nicely-now he's just waiting for the gas bubble in his eye to go away.
I'm also needing to set goals-I'm really honing my playing as I'd like to get back into teaching guitar-beginners,for a start and I'm reading books on teaching music. And for some reason I've gotten a sudden interest in autoharps. So I'm exploring that-I don't own one yet but am learning about them online. There seems to be a resurgence in it's popularity.
Going to estate sales lately-and picked up a couple of antique glasses that go with my great grandmother's "special occasion" set. I need to learn the name of it so I can collect more. Simple yet elegant in emerald green & clear glass. I know they're not worth much but it's the sentimental value in addition to the fact that four generations of my family have handled the original pieces I've inherited.
