Preparing to Move

Posted by twayneking on Thursday, June 30, 2011

Well, it looks like I'm going to be forced to move to Washington (the state, thank God - not the city).  Dragging me out of East Texas has been a formidable task, but the wife is up there and says she's not coming back, so I don't have a lot of choice. I'm worried about my guitar warping. The humidity up there is way worse than it is down here. Every time I go up there it rains three out of four days I'm there. They always tell me they have lots of sunny days, but I'm not so sure. Last time I was up there, there was this little hole in the clouds and some sunshine peeked through.

People ran outside and sacrificed cows and pigs and sheep on these rusty little black altars they have in their backyards. They were either sacrificing to the sun god or it was displaced Texans trying to get in a quick barbecue before the rain came back.  I'm not sure which.

I suppose I'd better back the grill after all. If I don't I may never see the sun again.

Tom

Hello, Tom. Id like to say its wonderful up there(Washington State), but if you like snow, west side, and rain .You will loveThe Cascades. when I spent two years in the snowqualmie valley , I brought an old Alverez, d model and it was fine , the wet air will cause you to become a guitar adjustment expert, also wet air = coated strings. Good luck , the people are great the weather isn't.
