I like all types of music and am always looking for new bands/musicians to lift my soul. Many of my favorite players are relatively unknown.

Started playing as a young child. My father was a music major and university choral instructor. He was a decent classical guitarist, and excellent folk player. Mom sang. I grew up accompanying them in various folk/chuch configurations. Studied guitar intensly in late teens/early 20's - had several very good teachers. Discovered hard rock - Zep, Deep Purple, BOC, UFO....30 years later, ears are still ringing. Got married, bought a house, got a real job, had a family - didn't play much in my 30s. Caught the fire again in my early 40s and have been playing hard for the past 15 years or so. In that time have played in Blues, Country, Pop, Celtic, Acoustic, Rock, Cover, Folk bands. I play many different styles of music and have learned various techniques. I'm pretty good at a many things - but an expert at none. I can also make some not-too-offensive noise on the banjo. My passion now is acoustic music. There is nothing but you and the wood and the steel, its very personal and gratifying when you can pull that great sound out of the instrument. I'm always looking to play with people and would welcome any opportunities. I'm available to individuals or bands looking for help.
