Well then .... it's 2014 soon to be '15 and I am embarking on my locked in for the Winter period of time with my instrument friends. Don't get me wrong..... I love the good weather and great weather available out doors in Kentucky eight months out of the year. But late Autumn and then Winter give me the grays. So my answer is to delve into my instruments and my musical education. I set goals for this period of time and occasionally even achieve them. This "year" ... hmmmm... practice notation reading everyday ...... OK ... Work on my Western Swing backup chords .... now some tunes .......... ahhh but which ones ...... Any suggestions? R/

Started playing in H.S. in SoCal during the 60's, PP&M Paul Simon, loved the Beach Boys harmonies, moved through the seventies adding The Eagles and C.S.& N , N.G.D.B. stumbled over Will the Circle Be Unbroken and was hooked by Doc's rendition of Down Yonder. Moved to Kentucky in the late seventies and have been grassin' ever since. I enjoy visits to Swing and Jazz territory, those chords are amazing. I still try to adding diminidshed scales and 13th chords just to shake up the mix at jams. Still play everyday. As long as I can. R/
