Finally getting the Christmas tree up this morning. But the music really gets me into the mood. The Sing Along With Mitch, the Phil Spectre "Christmas Gift for You" and throw in a good dose of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and I'm really getting into the spirit. My wife knows that when "Sleigh Ride" by the Ronettes comes on, the volume is going to go up to 120 decibels. So to all of you pickers out there, have a warm and wonderful holiday and may Santa bring you the guitar or equipment of your dreams.

Merry Christmas, pizmo (and everyone else, too)! The two seasonal discs that have gotten the most play when I have the say are Steve Kaufman's Smoky Mountain Christmas and Kenny Burrell's Have Yourself a Soulful Little Christmas. Merry Christmas all...peace and good tidings. I think the music that most puts me in the spirit is Kathy Mattea's "Good News". Superbly recorded with tasteful instrumentation, sung like an angel from heaven.
