I remember Joe from Camp Bluegrass days. He was a superb picker of guitar and mandolin and a very funny and knowledgeable teacher of both instruments. His dry, droll sense of humor kept us laughing. He will be missed.

Sad news. He was a great teacher and player, and sounds like he was much more than that, as well.
