Very sad news. I don't know how many NPR - Car Talk fans there are here.....but they were great! Big bluegrass fans and players as well. I listened religiously.
I remember one of the weekly puzzlers where they told the audience that if anyone knew the answer, they could submit it on the back of a Martin D-28 with herringbone binding, tortoise shell pick guard, etc.....LOL. And to end their show, they would always play Dawgy Mountain Breakdown - and it would never fail that they were talking over the Tony Rice solo. He'll be missed.
