This commentary is a contribution from Caroline Wright, in response to a number of comments to Bluegrass Today's previous articles about Tony Rice’s financial difficulties, which suggest that he was unworthy of such assistance.
Tony Rice's influence on acoustic music is impossible to overstate. I saw Tony a few years back in Louisville when he was touring with AKUS and Jerry Douglas. He was simply phenomenal.
If anyone is aware of a way to purchase Tony Rice's CDs, instructional DVDs, or other merchandise where the profit goes directly to him, please post it here. His Web site's store is currently not operable.
