I was there, along with the other 3500 water-restricted souls. I walked up there once without my instruments. I've always been a bit secretive about flatpicking there. Maybe we need a secret handshake or something? I could enjoy a late nite guitar-only jam sometime.

I was only there from around noon Saturday until just before daybreak Sunday, so I wasn't really affected by the water shortage. I have friends that arrived on the previous Saturday, as they do each year to stake out their spots up by the water tower, and they weren't too happy about it. We probably passed within 10 feet of each other at some point, and had no clue.
I wouldn't mind finding or putting together a flatpick jam at Clifftop. I don't try to play breaks in the regular jams, because I wouldn't be able to hear myself over the 2 or 3 fiddles that are typically leading throughout a tune, let alone be heard by anyone else. But I do love participating in those jams. That music grabs me at some visceral level in a way that no other music does.
