Stephen holds a degree in Vocal Music Education from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and is a certified music educator in Tennessee and Massachusetts. For three years he taught at the Ralph C Mahar Regional School in Orange, Ma (7-12) where his duties included MS Chorus, HS Chorus, Music Theory, MS General Music, Music Theater and Vocal Ensemble. Mougin tours with the Sam Bush Band as Vocalist and Acoustic/Electric Guitar player in addition to being half of the “Nedski and Mojo” act. He teaches private voice lessons through the “Nashville Music Workshop” as well as leading vocal workshops around the country. Stephen developed, produced, and performed on his “Dark Shadow Recording – Bluegrass Harmony Singing” series, which received rave reviews and is currently being used in the Berklee School of Music bluegrass curriculum. When not on the road, he spends time in the studio producing and recording and, in 2009, acting as Sam Bush’s vocal coach for the “Circles Around Me” album.
