Great Site

Thursday, September 13, 2012

I just signed up here, and somehow it seems much more lively and friendly than Dan Miller's site where I'm also a member. Needless to say, I appreciate them both. I'm just getting more involved in musical socializing on the internet, and am finding so many people just like myself who are absolutely nuts about the music.

I'm also seeing the possibilities for learning, collaboration, and helping people learn that the internet offers. I probably won't be able to help that many people because my own learning methods are unorthodox, owing to the fact I learn everything by ear, and don't read music. But there are still some things I can share which don't require musical literacy.

In the near future I'll be posting stuff I hope can help other pickers on my blog. If it helps even one person, that'll be enough :)

Born and raised in that hotbed of Bluegrass Music, New York City, I fell in love with the genre after seeing the Seldom Scene at NYU in 1972. Never lost the love.
