Alvarez Yairi DY-76 12-string herringbone acoustic guitar in very good-excellent condition with hard case. Hand-built in Japan under direct supervision of legendary luthier Kazuo Yairi, dated 18/10/1974 serial # 8281 This vintage Yairi is built light and sounds full, clean, warm, and with good definition. (This is the model used for acoustic sets by The Grateful Dead in the ‘70s and ‘80s.)
LR-Baggs M1 pickup installed after market. Tuning heads were changed out at some point and now has a full set of Grover Mini enclosed tuners installed. These will last a lifetime. Looks like there was a heel crack that is now fully repaired and solid. Low action, straight neck with plenty of truss-rod thread, flat bridge, no lifting, plays nicely. Some mild scratches and dings here and there, excellent frets, guitar has no damage at all though there is some finish milkiness in spots. Hard shell case included. $1400 includes shipping to lower 48.
