It’s the worst nightmare for a picker. You borrow an instrument to take to a festival, and it turns up missing. Now you not only have no instrument, but have to face explaining the loss to a trusting friend.
That’s the situation here in Nashville for Alex Clayton, a young reso-guitarist making his first visit to the SPBGMA convention. He had set his borrowed D60 Dobro on the outside of a group of cases in the hallway and took his eye off it long enough for it to walk off while he wasn’t watching.
Alex is hoping that someone simply picked it up by mistake, and asks that whoever may have it would please give him a call at 573-712-7002.
He says it’s a stock D60 sunburst square neck in a standard guitar case with no stickers. It could easily have been picked up by mistake. The guitar has a chip on one of the sides and some typical belt buckle scratches. The case he described as “beat up,” with the plush on the inside ripped away in one corner. The guitar had a black strap attached.
If anyone has grabbed it by mistake, or know anything about its location, please give Alex a call.
