I'm hoping to find anyone that owns/plays a Hulon Stringer acoustic guitar. He was a luthier from Bolivar, Tennessee, and he doesn't really have any online presence in regards to his guitars. I'd love to just create a database of who plays his instruments, as he made so few of them. They are, however, in my opinion, superb instruments.
If anyone knows of anyone who plays a Stringer acoustic, and or any Stringer instruments (I'm not sure if he built instruments other than guitars).
Thank you very much,
Joe Young

Mr Hulan Stringer is a dear friend, and taught me to build several years ago. He has built 100-110 guitars. Mr Stringer is 93 yrs old and was still working everyday until recent heart problems followed by a stroke. He had one guitar that he had promised to build and couldn't finish it . He ask me to build it for him and I am at the point of buffing it now. It is a 000 model and I put his name on it and inside I wrote Mr Hulan Stringer The last one. He like me built for the love of it and he never charged more than a thousand dollars. He lives about twenty miles from me and I usually visit him monthly and we talk guitars. And argue a lot of course. Also earlier he was into building violins and was an excellent player as well.

Fxhere,
I would love if you have any contact information for Mr. Stringer. I spoke to him in the phone last summer, but it was after a long arduous amount of guesswork to find his telephone number. I cannot find it now.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
