hey folks, I just hear, er, read, about this CD being put out featuring some talented pickers paying homage to Alan Lomax's extensive recordings of folks musics. I had been hearing about the Anthology of Folk ( i think it goes by) for a long time, but never gave any of it a listen, as i didnt think i could. Turns out I was wrong ( I love being wrong about these things) and that there's a website where 'all' the recordings of his are available. Needless to say, I'm stoked like a midsummer bonfire and wanted to share this with other folks who might enjoy it. So here's the links to the new project and for the website with the recordings

glad to spread the stuff i find. it's one of my favorite things about the internet. Alan Lomax's work is still pretty new to me, and it is a bit overwhelming to try to take it in all at once
