I just purchased an expensive Martin acoustic and keep it in the case with humidity control packets at 47% RH. This time of year the RH in the room I practice in ranges from 28% - 36%. Should I be concerned about practicing in 28% - 36% RH for about an hour a day? With my other guitars, I didn't care because I didn't have the investment that I have in this Martin acoustic.
Your comments would be appreciated.

I bought my first Martin two years ago, an HD-35. During the summer I don't have to worry about the humidity but this time of year I keep a humidifier in the sound hole. I wouldn't think it should be an issue to practice for an hour or so in low humidity as long as you open and close the case a few times to let the instrument get used to the lower humidity. We certainly can't leave them in the case and not play them after investing so much hard earned money into them. Just my opinion. Would love to hear what others have to say.
