Is Wagon Wheel one of the most common songs played or what?
Here is our Jam group doing our version of this classic - written by Bob Dylan.
Even though this is overplayed, the crowd just loved it. We had 50 or so folks behind where we placed the camera dancing and swaying.
Hope you like it. Are there other common songs covered by country/BG bands that appeal to the masses?

Beatles songs actually work out great when played in a bluegrass style.
Check out the band Beatlegras who used to make a living playing nothing but Beatles songs.
I have also heard Mountainheart do a great version of Whipping Post.
Of course, all these can get the the traditionalists in an uproar so if you play one during a gig that is not well received, you might want to head another direction. :-)

We keep our program "up-beat" with a ballad now and
then to break it up...Works for us
