I am tabbing out a song, and would like to know if there is a program out there that will let you draw measure lines, and or symbols that you can use? I tried a couple programs that had notation only and have found several tabs but no place where I can add extra lines for measures. it's my first song, and need to do the tab just right so others in the family can use the tab if needed.

The best (inexpensive at $60 US) is Tabledit, available at tabledit.com . This tab writing software is very versatile, and can be used to write tab, notation or both for many instruments. I've used it exclusively since the 1990's.

Thank you Brad for the response I also found a site called Guitar Tap Maestro which looks really nice also and one called Guitar Pro 7 both can do a lot now just need to figure them out while I have the trial version to see if it will do what I want which I'm sure they can,

TablEdit and Sibelius First are my two favorite tab programs and they're both fairly inexpensive.

This program is no longer supported, but I've always been a big fan of MusEdit. You can find the setup files here:

I use progression 2.0. I've written a whole book using it and it works very well!
