Notes: This lesson demonstrates interesting ways of creating a solo with a repetitive chord progression, and avoid making it boring by using the same chords over and over again. One way to do this is to play notes right out of the underlying chord (play the occasional chord arpeggio), take notes from the chord to create double stops, usually using 3rds and 5ths. These ideas I used playing through out the entire score, mostly last bar of each measure. You can also start by using the Pentatonic and then use minor scales or Dorian based scales from the MODES to create new ideas. The Rhythm uses power chords(C5, F5, Ab5 and Bb5), but you can use Cm, Fm, Ab and Bb to give the heart of the score a complete minor sound. You can also use 7th chords, experiment a little.
