What are the suggestions for a guitar beginner that wants to lean toward the blues? I'll be using an electric. I do better with both book and DVD. If I have to choose I'd go with just the DVD. I know this is an old question but I'm trying to be more specific rather than general.

myfavoriteguitars.com is the place. Clay Hess instructional DVD is great. Lots of pointers.
