Martin Shenandoah in 1983 and 1984 were made with real wood. I have the brochure right here and I am posting pictures. The entire guitar is real wood and made in the USA but as the years moved on they were made with high pressure laminates and certain parts were made in Japan but the guitar was still fully built in the USA until 1987 I believe. After 1990 all bets are off and some were made here while some were actually made in Japan. There are several different models I have had and I have pamphlets and brochures with information pertaining to the specifications of different models. My favorite of these are the HD2832 and the D41-32. I can’t speak for every single one produced throughout the years but definitely 1983,1984 and I believe all the way to 1987 were available with real wood. I have seen real wood ones and I have a pamphlet that says that it is in fact real wood so the best way to tell is to look at the guitars in person. The d-3532 with binding on the headstock is real wood but I have only seen one of those ever. All of the maple ones are veneer from what I can tell and also they were not offered in the 1983-1987 line up. Also I don’t believe they offered real wood whatsoever after 1986 or 87.

I would love to see a picture of the pamphlet that says they were made out of real wood back and sides In the early production models ...I’ve been a fan of Shenandoah guitars but many look down their nose and say that they are not genuine Martin guitars....
