Notes: Here is a fine old fiddle tune, probably a product of the times when pop music (from the teens/twenties) was influencing old time fiddling, as evidenced by the chord structure of the tune. It's more of a "rag" than a "blues", but... Presented here are three breaks, the first being the "basic" melody, although there are as many versions of the tune as there are people playing it. The second one is dropped an octave and departs from the melody somewhat. The third break is similar to the first, but has a few different licks in it. Some of the picking patterns in this tune are fairly difficult, which is why I rated it "expert". An excellent tune to jam & improvise upon. Has a Rhythm Guitar & Bass rhythm track. Have fun! |
