Cant wait i've just booked a ticket to a steve kaufman workshop in september  at eaglmusic in south yorkshire, my  first ever workshop gotta be an early christmas present for me:-)))

It's sure to be a great experience -- I'm hoping to go to one of SK's workshops myself someday, so I'm looking forward to hearing from you about this one. Have fun!

i am looking forward to it it starts at 11.30 am for the workshop, and there's a concert at night , all for 30 quid,A bargain i think..

Lucky!  He's having a workshop in Phoenix too, but I think not until next February.  I am planning on going to his week long acoustic flatpicking camp in Knoxville TN next summer!

I keep hoping i have the means to come over to the states to any of the workshops but this old guys pension wont let me unless i win the lottery or something,but who knows one day!!

well i came back from the SteveKaufman workshop yesterday,absolutly brilliant just twelve of us in a three hour workshop ,so informative and a really nice guy to boot , i,ve hardly  put my guitar down since coming back home,i got there a bit early and had a nice chat with him about types of guitar( what he plays) and the techniques he uses ,such a good day.

what sort of stuff did you go over ? did he have his ken miller guitar [hunnert] with him ?

He played his 12 year old collins om2, he went through the usual stuff to begin with cos most of the people there were finger pickers and wanted to get into flatpicking. like holding the pick, guitar position and so on.then he had us playing straight forward tunes.practice techniques, and speed building
