I'm thinking of buying a 12 string guitar. What do ya'll think would be the best for under $400? Are Fender and Yahama any good with 12 strings?

Some of the Yamaha's are excellent. I would also highly recommend the Walden D-552 12-string. I have fallen in love with mine and like its sound better than the Takamine 12's I used to own. Some of the Alvarez 12's are excellent as well.

For what it's worth, I'm considering an Alvarez 12-string. I know sound is subjective but they seem to stand out in terms of both tone and quality. I've owned many Martins, Taylors, Breedloves, Gibsons and more over the years and can't belive I'm coming back around to Alvarez. My girlfriend has one though that only cost a few hundred bucks and it BLEW my mind/ears. Curious what others think? Thx...
