1979 Guild S-300 AD

I've had this guitar since 1979 and I'm ashamed to say I never learned to play it, so it has been stored in a hardcase for over 30 years. My brother in law played and I gave it to him a few years ago, but he played acoustic guitars and I don't think he played mine for more than a few hours. He did tell me the guitar is in perfect condition, it isn't warped. There isn't a scratch on it.

He passed away two years ago and I got the guitar back. I'm moving and I'm thinking about selling it. I have no idea what it is worth. I was hoping someone here could advise me about how to sell it. Obviously, I want to get as much as I can for it. I live in NJ, not far from NYC, but I know any retail shop will offer me about 40% of the retail price.

	Any advice would be appreciated.

Washburn Millenium

I am a member over on the banjo hangout and thought this might be the place to go. I am trying to get a read on a good place to post an acoustic/electric Washburn EA-2000 for sale. I would post to the classifieds here, but did not know how interested a group of flatpickers would be in the guitar. I just sold a banjo and want to sell this guitar, combine the money, and buy a nice D style guitar to learn how to flatpick on. Thanks in advance for any comments or responses.

McKinney/Elliot Capo for sale

Virtually unused McKinney/Elliot capo with the flip latch bar. Std. 11/16 th's width. Spare clear sleeve for capo bar and original bag it came in. I bought it for my Santa Cruz Vintage Artist but sold the guitar shortly afterwards. I now play Larrivee's which have to shallow a neck to work. $85 shipped.

	Thanks, Dave

Looking for 12 Fret Slot-Head

	Hi All,

Newbie here looking around for a 12 Fret Slot-Head steel strung guitar. Not sure yet of the body (style) / depth. I am leaning more toward small. Will be used for picking around the house / small get together with picking buddies for personal enjoyment.

	http://www.flatpickerhangout.com/classified/3468

Not sure what is our there and do not have a hard / fast rule on brand, make, model at this point. I am a bit spoiled to my acoustics so I am looking for something decent to good. Not thinking vintage at this time due to $$$$$. Not trying to be cheap, just realistic.

Please let me know what you might want to let go.....

	Thanks a lot,

Hi, I like bluegrass , but I like more guitars with oldtimey sound to them. I read that in general, Martins have bluegrass sound, while Gibsons have oldtime sound to them. Any help?. Thanks.

Revival RG-12 RW/Spruce LOWER PRICE

Revival RG-12. Near-mint condition. Spruce/Rosewood. The guitar has been set up. It plays great, sounds great. I can't get across just how GOOD this thing sounds… imo, it actually sounds better than alot of solid-top guitars I tried. That's why I bought it… great tone & playability, I didn't care that is was an all-laminate. They sell for $279 usually. I'm looking to get $175 shipped to the continental US.

This is a 2010 model, I only bought it a few months ago. It has abalone inlay ALL OVER IT (see pics). The fit & finish on it is really good… honestly, as good as any guitar I've seen. The poly finish is a bit thick, but that's normal with alot of the chinese-made acoustics.

Would make an excellent "Campfire"/"Travel"/"Student" guitar.

Snowwis OM-28 Brazilian/adirondack/ SOLD

.I Need to raise some cash, so I'm parting with my Brazilian rosewood OM-28. Sold with TKL hard case, it's priced below the Brazilian rosewood upgrade cost of other builders. I built this guitar to 30's martin specs in all respects, with scalloped, forward shifted X brace, Ebony fingerboard and bridge, fossilized ivory nut and saddle, 1 3/4 nut, 2 5/16 string spacing, and all appropriate binding and perfling. I worked at Merrill and Company (widely known for their accurate Pre-war Martin replicas) for nearly 6 years, and built this guitar in that shop in 2007, but under my name. I am now building under the East Virginia Guitars (EVG) brand, recently reviewed in Flatpicking Guitar Magazine. Check out the classified ad on this site!

	Thanks,

I've owned this banjo since 1980. Incredible sounding bluegrass banjo. I'm looking to sell because I've been flatpicking more and want a Martin HD-28. I'm also selling my Guild D-40 to buy a less expensive banjo. Going from expensive banjo and less expensive guitar to expensive guitar to less expensive banjo.

Stolen Guitar

To the people who stole most of my stuff out of my studio on June 5, including my main guitar of 43 years, let me tell you about it. It's a very altered, but very real 1953 Gibson Les Paul Model - Serial # 3 0621 (stamped on the back of the headstock) This is not a gold-top. In the 1950's, it was refitted with an ABR-1 bridge and stop tailpiece, and then refinished, all by Gibson. The green colour in the picture, (especially on the rear half of the body where the light reflection is less), is accurate. It's one of the lightest Gibson Les Pauls, and the only one of its' colour, that I've ever seen. I've made many other changes to this guitar in favour of playability: --changed the P-90's to humbuckers --had the neck thinned and it, the back and the sides were refinished --when it was refinished, the serial # was stamped in --replaced worn out machine heads with gold Gibson ones --added brass switch ring, jack plate, and rear cavity covers that were made for me by my now-deceased brother-in-law --added a truss rod cover with "Les Paul" on it --installed strap-locks (for obvious reasons) --there will be traces of violin bow resin in and under various parts. It is the best guitar ever for bowing. This is a one-of-a-kind instrument in so many ways. It is completely recognizable, down to every screw on it. I've been in the music business all my life, and have a large list of friends and contacts. With the help of countless amazing people, many who I don't even know, http://web.me.com/outgolfing/Equipment (which details what you took) has been sent across Canada and around the world to more people - musicians, music stores, pawn shops, studios, rehearsal rooms, and other musically related businesses - than I ever imagined possible. It's been passed around since you broke in, and is continually going out to more people. In fact, I'd bet people reading this will pass the link on to others if they already haven't. This will continue unendingly until I find my guitars and other equipment. My green Les Paul is already one of the most recognizable instruments in Canada, I can guarantee you that. Here's your scenario: --No collector will want this instrument because it's not even close to original. --No legitimate business will buy it from you. --Any creep who would knowingly buy a stolen guitar will give you a pittance for it. --If you keep it for yourself, you'll never be able to play anywhere with it, and it will tie you to the crime and to all of the other stolen equipment for as long as you have it. --You didn't even take the case. It's my most personal possession, and I have always planned for my son to have it one day. By the way, the other Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier head you took was his. It's not of much value to you, but to me, I can't buy another Les Paul like it because another one doesn't exist.. Here's a thought: Have some decency and redeem some karma. Bring my guitar back. You've ****ed my studio up and stolen a life-time collection of my ****. You stole my guitar rig, which was MY sound that I've spent years achieving. You haven't ripped off a money making business. You've ripped off my life and my spirit immeasurably by taking away the tools of the pursuit of my passion. I've worked extremely hard for my whole life to earn my right to do so, and you took it all away in an hour or two. You've also ripped off my son, now, and in the future. I don't have the money to replace the gear, so it's just gone. Just give it back - NO QUESTIONS ASKED. PLEASE Maurice (604) 943-6160 (604) 816-8987 cel •

Howdy again everyone, As you know I am just an old country player, but I have been thinking of giving an electric guitar a try. So I am looking for a good playing one, I have 150.00 to spend. I know thats not much, but have to start somewhere

I play classic country mixed with some western swing, so need something that will work for that style of music.

	Thanks
