I can get to the forum that I want,but when I click on

a topic,the hour glass comes up on a blank page.

The banjohangout was like that but corrected itself??

posting photos

I've noticed something strange happening with my photos in this post http://www.flatpickerhangout.com/topic/21878/

I've added two photos from one of my albums using the "Add attachments" feature. When I've done this before, the pictures appear in a smaller format, but if I left click on the picture, it will appear in a larger format. When I click on these pictures, they jump into Pastor Harry's post at the top of the page and take the place of his photo.

Hello!

I'm assuming this is the right area for this question

I'm new here, and I seem to be having difficulties uploading a profile photo. I'm able to get photo's through for albums, but just not for my default photo. I get an error message saying that the path cannot be found. Am I the only one having this problem? I'm thinking it's user error.

I'm usually pretty good with this stuff, but just not now.

I can't seem to get the rss feeds from here. I get them from fiddle and mando hangout sites. Can't seem to figure out why there it's not working.

New playlist in the Music Search area?

Hey Eric, The "Collaborations" group is getting the ball rolling with a couple of collaborations done and a number ongoing. We'll have members record different songs and post them, linked to the collaborations page. Each song will have the original member playing lead/melody lines for a break or two, and they'll leave a few places/spots in the song where others can download the file and insert their own breaks/melody lines. Tom has posted a number of them: http://www.flatpickerhangout.com/myhangout/music.asp?ID=4958 "Blue Eyes Cryin' In the Rain" "Wabash Cannonball" "Wildwood Flower" I was wondering if we could make a special playlist designation/title for these, maybe "Collaborations." They have some lead work in there by the original poster, so they're not strictly "Rhythm Tracks." This way, someone could go to the Music search page, pull up all "Colaborations" tracks, pick one for themselves, download it and record their own breaks onto it. Or, we could just label them all "Rhythm Tracks" and add the word "Collaboration" onto each. What do you think?

Cant unlink mp3 from old group

I joined and then left a group for personal reasons. Now my mp3 links are still at that site. I am unable to delete them. Will the admin/ owner have to do the deletes? ....................................... 8)]

First of all, the groups are AWESOME! It would be cool if somehow they could be "liked" on Facebook. Might bring a few more people to the Hangout, anyway. Just a suggestion. -Austin

Insufficient disk space error

I got this when I saved a post to the Sound Off forum with a MP3 attachment: Persits.MailSender.4 error '800a0005' There is not enough space on the disk. /global/global_functions.asp, line 1089 The post seemed to save OK, though, and I was able to play the MP3 attachment. FWIW.

Anyone know when the drawing is going to be for the TR strings, SK video, and Wegen picks? The site reads that the drawing was to be last month but the giveaway is still up on the main page. I enter just about every day :)

Beware! I want to make sure no one else makes the same mistake I did. I thought I was being VERY careful when selling my guitar to some worthless slob in the UK. I demanded a bank check for payment. He asked that I take my charge out of the amount that he sent (which I did) and wire the remaining amount to his accountant via Western Union to handle shipping charges, fees, etc. Even though I thought I was being careful, what I didn't realize was that the original check was worth less than the paper it was printed on and my bank doesn't catch fakes until a week or two later...after I had wired money to his "accountant." Don't fall into the same trap I did. DO NOT use WESTERN UNION. Require paypal or some other form of payment where you are more protected from bottom-dwellers.
