There's a guitar break on Stuff Smith's 1940 recording of this tune that in my opinion is one of the finest examples of the 30's style jazz guitar (not including Django, who is in a class all his own). Does anybody know who this excellent guitarist is?

I don't have that cut, but I've got a Stuff Smith collection on my Amazon wish list that has it. Thanks for reminding me of some wonderful music - I just listened to several Stuff Smith cuts, and boy that was great music.
